06 Dec 2012:
Hello again from Afghanistan. My Marines and I sincerely appreciate your assistance and support. We are extremely grateful for everything you do for us. We would like to thank everyone for the care packages and letters we have received. They have been extremely helpful. It is a great feeling to know that we are not forgotten even though we are so far away from home. It fills me with joy to know that there is people that we do not know personally but are here supporting us. Every package we get is like "HOPE" in a box. I love to see my Marines smile and enjoy a small part of home forgetting about where we are at, at least for a moment. My Marines and I are doing well. We have had some rough times but together we make it through. We are still fighting through what happened and the loss of our brother. But we celebrate his life and not his death for he was a warrior and died like one. We have been through up and downs while in this country. But we will never allow anyone or anything to defeat our will to fight. I can guarantee you that these Marines are as professional as they come even though most of them are very young. These Marines do their best everyday and are proud to serve without complaints. I'm honored to serve by their side. All of my Marines are great people. Some of us are married and others are single but we all have love ones waiting for us at home. I have 2 Marines that are new dads. One of them, his wife gave birth one week before his departure and the other one, his wife is due any day now. As a father, I know how hard it is to be away from the most important people in your life, our kids. We all have to make sacrifices and we also have to truly believe there is a reason for all this. This is why your support is very important for us. The weather here has changed. It is a lot colder and it will start to rain pretty soon. Life is good for the most part or maybe we just got used to it this way. We are going to have our own Christmas in the desert fest thanks to all of you. We rotate duties to be able to enjoy some time off. We all share everything here and ensure we all get a piece of the pie. Wonderful people like you is what makes a difference here for us. You asked if there was any specific item we would like to get. We humbly request snacks, chocolate, protein shakers, small blender, electronics, phone cards, and any other item you want to send. Everything is appreciated. I understand this is a wish list and you all try your best to assist. We appreciate anything you are able to send. The most important thing I would like to request is for prayer to bring us all home safe. Since you all do so much for us , I think we can do something for you too. We might be able to fly an American flag in your honor. The only thing we need is The name and date you want it flown. Once again, thank you very much and SEMPER FIDELIS!
Respectfully,
SSgt "El Jefe" Aguirre, R.

I sincerely apologize for the delay on updates. My Marines and I are grateful to all the people that send their care through packages. We have been getting a lot of stuff from music, snacks, letters, misc.. and most important of all HOPE. We are extremely happy and fortunate because not only have we received care packages from our American people but also from people from other countries (Canada). This is amazing knowing that all kinds of people from Science teachers, retired military, successful attorneys, farmers, house wives, and all other special persons out there support us. This solidifies the reason we are here, not only for a free Afghanistan but to make a difference worldwide. We are so proud to be Marines but above all we are proud to be Americans.
Our hats go off to the people responsible for creating this wonderful program. Thank you ANYSOLDIER.COM, you made a difference in our lives. I assure you that these Marines are of the highest caliber and I'm honored to serve by their side. On the midst of danger, we shall prevail because we know you all stand behind us. All give some and some give all. We really appreciate your assistance and support. As for what we need over here, the weather is getting cooler. Whatever you send is appreciated.
SEMPER FIDELIS

Hello, My name is SSgt Aguirre and I'm currently in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. My Marines and I really appreciate the kindness the American people have shown toward us. Our unit is originally from California and we are here for an (OPSEC)extended period of time. This place is very hot and not very comfortable but we love what we do and do it with pride. As Marines, we adapt and overcome any challenge. My unit has many first time deployers and many young Marines that miss the comfort of home. But even the more senior Marines get lonely sometimes. I myself miss my wife's beautiful smile and the joy of hearing my three young kids laugh. We undertand the reason we are here and will continue to do our best to support it. We respectfully request the following items. Magazines to use as reading material since the days here drag and everyday feels like an eternity. Green Military socks, due to the environment; our clothes are always dirty and become unservicible rather fast. Snacks such as doritos, cheetos, little debbies and all other good old fashion American classics. Entertainment items such as videos, CDs etc.. Any other things that might be usefull in this environment. We will gladly accept it and ensure everyone here gets to enjoy it. Penpals are always welcomed and encouraged to write to us. My Marines stay focused on the mission and anything sent will assist to make this time a better experience. Your assistance and support is greatly appreciated. Thank You Respectfully, SSgt Aguirre, R. (USMC)

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Marine if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Marine!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
