01 Jan 2005:
I would like to thank you again for helping us make this deployment just that much easier! Please let everyone know that I wanted to thank them all again. We have also adopted a small twn outside Fallujah, the extra things that have been provided and that are not being used by any unit here, we have helped out about 4 or 5 units here on thsi base with different items. Like I said the extra items will be going to the families of that small town when I get some pictures I will send what I can. Marty I also want you to know that I will continue to sing the praises of this program when I return to the states! Thank you again!

Well you would not believe the amount of packages that we have received as of now Christmas day! I would like to than each and every person from the bottom of our hearts! Things are not over with the upcoming elections here in Iraq looks like another busy time Please let everyone know that since the Majority of the command is scheduled to rotate back in March that they can stop sending things at the beginning of January. According to the Marines on the working party for the post office they still have about 40 air force pallets to sort. That being said please extend a warm "SCARFACE" Thank you once again for everything that everyone has sent us helping make not only Christmas but the entire deployment a little easier!
It is raining tonight and flight ops as usual!

Well the cold weather has really gotten here. It was about 28 last night and only going to get colder. We have gotten several holiday packages and decorated the shop, I will take some pictures tomorrow at work and send them to you. The holidays are kind of rough for some of the Marines. We all
stick together and get through it. As always I will be in touch and please let everyone know that we all want to thank them very much for what they are doing for us. Nothing goes without thanks. The PX has been out of AAA batteries so if you could please add that to our wish list then that would be great. The internet and phones have been down for some time go figure during the holidays, and when they do come back up we only have one small place for all hands to use so let everyone know if they are getting worried why someone isn't emailing as much that is why. You take Care and Happy Holidays

Sorry that it has been such a long time. I am sure that everyone saw our Cobras in action on CNN during operation Phantom Fury in Falluja. The mail has been a little slow so please let everyone know that the packages are still getting here and Thanks goes out to everyone! I have a few thank yous to write we have been quite busy to say the least. Well tomorrow is Turkey Day here not sure but we should have some pretty good chow. Well good for here. I am sorry but I have to get back to work I work nights now 1900 to 0700 and it is COLD dropping down to the mid to lower 30's only to get colder. Thank goodness the tents have heat but all it takes is one guy to get a little warm and shut his off. Thank Again!

We just got the requirements for cold weather gear, basicly as long as it is green black or tan we can wear it, I know that the face gators or gainers would be nice pretty much anything like that along with fleece blankets the tents should stay pretty warm but we will never know. Oh well just another day here in iraq. I wanted to let you know as well that I guess one of the mail convoys was hit pretty hard because I lost a package with pictures of my two boys and contact lenses so let everyone know that if they haven't gotten a thank you it isn't because we are not thankful.

To date we have received almost 600 paperback books we are good on paperbacks for now. Honestly we have ran out of room for them so we passed the majority of them along to the MWR tent here that services alot of units here. I am still getting info on cold weather gear and will have some ideas in the next week or so. Thanks for your time and support. Talk to you soon

Well it is not to hot today starting to cool off. The things we have been getting are very useful. I would like to add some things to the website but am unable to get to the internet cafe at this time. Old or new DVD's and PS2 Games we have an MWR Tent that has 2 DVD players and PS2 Game system. Other than that the overwhelming support that we are getting as of now is great to say the least. Oh well back to work you take care and thank you for your support

Hello,
We live in tent city here at TQ, we have a mix of power mostly 220 converted to 110. most anything would be a nice treat for the Marines here in my unit. The reason that the Marines in my unit should have support is that you would never know what it takes to keep the attack helicopters flying and keeping Marines alive on the ground. I am talking about 24 hours around the clock, 7 days a week. Our unit is HMLA 367 that stands for Helicopter Marine Light Attack. Now don't let the name fool you the Light is the weight of our birds not the amount of Attack that they Pack!I know that the Marines enjoy the powdered Gatorade, Chewey Granola Bars. Since the weather has begun to cool down I know that tea and other warm drinks might be enjoyed. Beef jerky and things like that as well. The unit has a few Marines with PS2 and XBox Game systems. I would like to thank each and everyone in advance.

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Marine if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Marine!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
