FOB dedication ceremony on the Tuz Airfield on 23 January.
The ceremony honored the memory of the 3 "Red Devils" killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The weather was cold and windy, but not rainy.
The Forward Operating Base was named in Memory of 1LT Bernstein and its 2 ranges were named in memory of SPC Hebert and PFC Hart.
The 4th ID Commander, General Odierno, was present for the event.
Not only did the ceremony remember the sacrifice of those in this battalion, it also recognized the accomplishments and bravery of those still here fighting. LTC McGuire and General Odierno presented Bronze Starts Medals for Valor, Army Commendation Medals for Valor, and Purple Hearts to members of the Battalion.
